Match Facts

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is reportedly ready to hand Pep Guardiola a blank check to bring him to the Parc des Princes. The Spaniard's future at Manchester City is said to hang in the balance after charges were laid against the Premier League club. According to a report in El Nacional, Al-Khelaifi is ready to make PSG's biggest move since the signing of Lionel Messi. He wants to bring in Guardiola to help them win the UEFA Champions League. PSG president keen to capitalize on Premier League charge against Manchester City and lure Guardiola The Spaniard claimed he would leave the club if he lied about financial irregularities.

Paris Saint-Germain appointed Christophe Gaultier last summer but are ready to take the opportunity to bring in the former Barcelona manager. Pep Guardiola has insisted he will not walk away from Manchester City because he trusts those at the club. He believes the allegations will be proven wrong and the club will come out with a clean image. Fans were convinced they were in a "parallel world" after watching Lionel Messi celebrate Sergio Ramos' goal in the 2-1 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. PSG traveled to the Stade Velodrome for Marseille in their French Cup round-of-16 clash, but Christophe Gaultier's men fell behind in the first half.

Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez gave Marseille a first-half lead from a spot-kick before Ramos found PSG's equalizer before half-time. Neymar whipped in a superb corner in first-half injury time and the Brazilian winger's ball was met by Ramos' bullet header. Real Madrid legend Ramos curled his header past a helpless Pau Lopez into the right-hand corner of the net before wheeling away in celebration. Footage emerged on social media of a jaw-dropping Messi raising his arms at Ramos' header before rushing off to celebrate with his PSG team-mate.

However, fans still cannot see the idea of Messi celebrating a Ramos goal given the heated El Clasico rivalry between Madrid and Barcelona. "I can't believe Messi celebrating Sergio Ramos' goal like that," said one fan. A third added: “Who knew these days would come. Time travelers don't see this coming. " One Twitter user posted: "We live in a parallel world." A fifth commented: "Imagine telling yourself from the past that Messi would celebrate a Ramos goal." Despite Ramos pulling one back, PSG crashed out of the French Cup after Ruslan Malinovski put Marseille 2-1 up in the second half.
