Indian Super League : Blasters aimless, hat-trick defeat - shame on Chennai FC too - SportsNight

Chennai: Kerala Blasters have lost a hat-trick in the Indian Super League.  


In the away match, Blasters lost to Chennaiyin FC by a one-sided goal.  Despite showing excellence in attack and defense, the players forgot to score goals.  With this, the team had to face a hat-trick of defeats.  With this, the Blasters have fallen back in the points table and are currently in the fourth position.  Akash Sangwan scored the winning goal for Chennaiyin in the 60th minute. Chennaiyin faced Kerala Blasters in a 4-2-3-1 formation.  Chennai tried to shake the Blasters from the start, who were tired of losing on the field.  But the Blasters, who slowly found their rhythm, counter-attacked.  Fedor Zernich missed a golden opportunity to give Blasters the lead in the eighth minute.  The player's weak shot was blocked by Chennaiyin goalie Debjit Majumdar.  Punjab showed stronger defense in the second half.  

Bad luck dogged the Blasters as they missed many scoring opportunities.  Blasters were sweating as Punjab played defensively in the last period.  In the 86th minute, Punjab capitalized on a big mistake by Blasters goalie Sachin.  Penalty in favor of Punjab for handball, but not able to score. Punjab captain Luca Majsen made Sachin a spectator and put the ball in the post.  With this, the Blasters fans at the Kochi Stadium had to be silent.  This was the goal that sealed victory for Punjab.  As miracles did not happen later, Blasters had to bow down.  Despite the loss, Blasters are in third place with 26 points from 14 matches.  Punjab is at the 9th position
